WEdnesday May 12 ( My Birthday)

When you travel the roads of Turkey you never quite know what you will meet. Looks like all mode of travel are permitted on the divided highways. Of course if you have your eyes closed you could miss a lot.
Today we travelled from Istanbul to Canakkale. Along t the north shore of the Sea of Marmara through Tekirdag then heading south for lunch in Galipolli. From there we crossed the Dardenelles on a ferry and proceeded to Troy to get a close encounter with a horse. There are conflicting stories if the horse really existed but since it is a nice story we will accept it. We toured the many layers of Troy before heading back to Canakkale for our hotel and dinner.
I must say that having a 65th birthday and being given a cake that fed 100 people was quite an experience. I thank Scenic Tours for providing the cake and the audience.
Another day of learning a lot of interesting things about the Turkish history. Am amazing people.
